BRAD PARKER vice president of development and managing member

Since January, 2000, Mr. Parker has developed 19 affordable multifamily housing communities totaling 1,760 units in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Parker was able to fund these communities by successfully securing 9% LIHTC allocations or tax-exempt bond volume through the local state housing agencies. During this time period, he founded the Southeast Regional Development Office for The NRP Group, LLC, which is now the largest affordable housing developer and the largest multifamily developer in the United States. Mr. Parker still remains a partner in the NRP projects.

After leaving NRP in September, 2005, he founded Greenway Development Company, LLC to develop and own affordable and market rate multifamily properties in the Southeastern United States. The company is committed to identifying successful sites in strong markets and providing the highest quality housing for our residents. From concept to completion, Greenway carefully analyzes and executes every project to maximize investment return, cost efficiency, productivity and satisfaction for its partners, associates and residents. Furthermore, Greenway is committed to utilizing green builder concepts in all of its projects. Although Mr. Parker’s primary development activities will now be conducted through Greenway Residential Development, LLC, Mr. Parker remains the Managing Member of Greenway Development Company, LLC.

Of the 19 projects developed by Mr. Parker, 6 are in various phases of construction and lease-up. The remaining 13 projects have successfully stabilized.

Mr. Parker enhances his development experience with over 7 years of national experience in underwriting and financing commercial real estate projects. His last position in commercial banking was Senior Vice President of Real Estate Lending for a subsidiary of United Fidelity Bank.

DAVID SWINDELL vice president of construction 

Dave Swindell has over 30 years experience in the development and construction of diverse product types such as retail, office, public facilities, multi-family, single family, urban infill and senior housing in the Midwest, Eastern Seaboard and the Southeastern United States. Mr. Swindell joined Jim Wymer in the expansion of WXZ Development and the founding of WXZ Construction in 2006, where he has actively led WXZ Construction to complete over 100 projects since its inception.

As President of WXZ Construction, Dave expands the WXZ family of development, construction and residential companies’ capabilities in planning, budgeting, forecasting, project management, design and engineering management, green building and sustainable design methodologies, cost engineering and contract administration. His executive industry experience and active leadership has produced a portfolio of projects valued at over $2.5 billion, detail of which is available upon request.

Prior to joining WXZ, he served as Vice President of Construction for The NRP Group, LLC for 8 years and Vice President for The Zaremba Group for 9 years, building an extensive portfolio featuring the construction of more than 7,600 single and multi-family units, senior apartments and student town homes, and more than 6 million square feet of retail space for a diverse group of local, regional and national merchants including Borders Books, Builders Square, Kmart, Publix, Rite Aid, Target, Walgreen’s and Wal-Mart.

JAMES R. WYMER president and WXZ Development, Inc., managing member 

Mr. Wymer developed his first build-to-suit relationship with Sherwin-Williams in 1986, which led to the formation of WXZ Development in 1990.  He is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of WXZ Development.  Under Mr. Wymer’s leadership, WXZ quickly earned the status as a preferred developer for national credit tenant expansion programs with industry leaders such as Rite Aide and Advance Auto Parts.  Since then, WXZ has expanded its retail tenant base and has strategically diversified into developing commercial and residential real estate projects throughout the Eastern United States.

In recent years, WXZ has strengthened its internal capabilities by adding staff to provide a full range of site selection, land development, architectural and engineering services, general construction, financial forecasting and management capabilities.  Today, WXZ provides a comprehensive array of industry expertise and services through its WXZ Development, WXZ Construction and WXZ Residential companies.

Mr. Wymer has developed more than 250 single tenant retail buildings and strip centers in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Delaware.  He has also been a principal in the development of over 1,000 units and over $100 million of multi-family housing in Northeast Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina including both market rate and Section 42 affordable housing communities.  In recent years, he has expanded into high density urban housing, as evidenced by WXZ’s 118 Flats-Circle, 118 Flats-Square and Hazel 8 communities in Cleveland’s University Circle district.  Mr. Wymer currently sits on the board of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.

MARK RICHARDSON assistant vice president
Mark Richardson is the Assistant Vice President of Development and has been with Greenway since its inception. Mark focuses on site selection, housing application strategy and implementation, investor and lender relations and financing coordination.

Mark has over 16 years of experience working in the affordable housing and multifamily industries. Prior to joining Greenway he served as a Project Manager for a regional developer operating in the Southeast and managed tax credit and bond financed projects from concept through tax credit awards, construction and to stabilized occupancy. Mark is a licensed real estate broker and has previous experience in land acquisition, acquisition rehab projects and property management.

Mark graduated from the University of South Carolina earning a BS in Marketing and Management and to this day is a proud Gamecock. He lives in Columbia with his wife and three children.
